This is a LARGE family. I have a lot of data here, but very little definate proof of lineage. All come from Birmingham. Around the 1880 mark, Brass foundry seems to have been a common occupation. 4 families in particular are currently being looked at:-

  1. William + Sarah > Samuel (1854), William (1856), Sarah (1853), Laura (1866), Beatrice (1869)
  2. William + Sarah > William (1866), Samuel (1871), Frederick (1873), Nelly (1880)
  3. Mary (widow?) > Elizabeth (1863), Francis (1866), Isabella (1868)
  4. William + Selina > William (1872), Florence1876), George (1878).

Edwin Samuel Davis was a prominant Free-mason, not only belonging to Machen #1782 and Desired Haven #5948, but also a petitioner of The Lodge of Credance #7155.
